Effects of credit and population shocks on housing prices

The effects of population and credit shocks on housing prices are much more long term than has been previously realised, say Arthur Grimes and Sean Hyland of Motu Economic and Public Policy Research.   Both kinds of shocks cause long term oscillations within the housing market because of the length of time it takes to build enough houses to cope with the changes.

A subcommittee of the NZPIF Executive is investigating how best to provide  educational opportunities for members. Andrew King, Executive Officer talks about this and about the number of business relationships NZPIF now has which will benefit all those who have NZPIF cards.
