Rachel Barnes

How to turn $5,000 equity into 70 rentals across Australia and New Zealand

In 2000, Rachel and her partner John realised that their superannuation was totally inadequate to sustain them in their retirement.

They made the decision to purchase one investment property – using only $5,000 of equity. That was the turning point in Rachel's journey towards prosperity. Within 64 months they had purchased 75 rental properties and still hold 70 of them across Australia and New Zealand, giving them both the opportunity to leave the paid workforce and enjoy a comfortable lifestyle that would be envied by many!

Since then, Rachel has co-authored three books, run a couple of small businesses, and been a regular presenter at ‘Property Women’ workshops around Australia.

She says she was so impressed with the Reno Kings and Property Women workshops that she’s now devoting her time to helping them run Property Women events, to provide inspiration, education and networking for women looking to start investing in property, or take their existing portfolio to the next level.
