Tenancy Services Developments
09 Jan 2004
Over the past year the NZPIF has nurtured the special relationship we have with both Tenancy Services and the Ministry of Housing.
The NZPIF are regarded as the spokespeople for private landlords. As Tenancy Services have become more familiar with the NZPIF, they now acknowledge that investors who make the decision to join one of our associations are by majority, landlords who intend running their business professionally, fairly and within the constraints of the RTA.
Confirming their high regard of our organisation and their consideration of us as a major partner, this year we have been included in some important projects including:
- Reviewing the Residential Tenancies Act
- An outside analysis of Tenancy Services operation and systems
- The New Zealand housing strategy
- Quarterly customer focus meetings analysing Tenancy Services performance stats
- Imputing content into tenancy services landlord seminars
- Attending stage I and stage II seminars to endorse them and promote our associations.
Also the NZPIF information brochure is included in Tenancy Services bond acknowledgments to all new landlords. Ministry of housing staff regularly contact NZPIF executives to seek or share information.
This working relationship has gained us respect from others including Ministers of Parliament, Real Estate Institute, Tenants Protection Association and Government Departments associated with building and housing.
