Two Years On

 The 2023 survey of members repeating the 2021 survey on the effects of the change to the interest deductibilty rules

Thank you to all those who took part in the survey of members conducted in February 2023.  The results of the survey showed that the change in the interest deductibility rules was impacing negatively on both landlords and tenants of their properties.  While many members are still choosing not to pass on all of the increased costs by incresing rents up to the market rate level, some tenants are at risk of losing their homes when the owners are foced to sell as a result of these increased costs.
