Landlords warned after drug haul

17 May 2010

Police are warning Hamilton property owners to keep an eye on what their sites are being used for.

That follows a raid on a rented commercial property, which police believe was being used to manufacture drugs. The chemical haul is estimated to be worth between $300,000 and $400,000.

Detective Sergeant Ricky Thompson says police were searching for stolen property at the Frankton address.

A man and woman are now facing drug manufacturing charges and further charges could still be laid.
Mr Thompson is urging property owners to be vigilant and report suspicious activity to police.
